Waikato Hospital, Research CoordinatorPart time, permanentJoin a specialty Cancer and Chronic Conditions Research team to support a portfolio of sponsored, collaborative and Investigator-led, Phase Ib-III Oncology, Haematology and Renal clinical trials.This is a great opportunity for an experienced Research Coordinator to coordinate trials, support the Nurse Coordinators and manage regulatory requirements such as HDEC reporting within our busy team.

About the RoleAs a Research Coordinator, the key areas of this role are to:Coordinate day-to-day activities for assigned clinical research studies from start-up through close-out.Collect, enter, and maintain accurate study data in electronic data capture (EDC) systems and source documents.Prepare and maintain essential regulatory documents (e.g., HDEC submissions, amendments, continuing reviews, deviations, and adverse event reports).Support study start-up activities, including feasibility assessments, site initiation preparation, and protocol training.Assist with monitoring visits, audits, and inspections; respond to findings and implement corrective actions as needed.Collaborate with PIs, sub-investigators, nursing staff, laboratories, and ancillary departments.Communicate effectively with sponsors, CROs, and monitors.

Click here to view the position description. About the Team/ServiceWe are a team of Nurse Coordinators, Research Coordinators/Assistants, and a Finance/Administration Coordinator. We are part of the Regional Cancer Centre, within Cancer and Chronic Conditions.
We work closely with the Medical Oncologists, Haematologists and Renal Physicians, the multidisciplinary team, trial sponsors and Clinical Research Organisations. About youAs a Research Coordinator, you will need to be a hard-working team player with excellent time management skills, the ability to problem solve and work under pressure when required.
You will need to hold a bachelors degree in health sciences or a related field (or equivalent experience), have good computer literacy, and excellent communication and interpersonal skillsThe right candidate will be welcomed into a supportive team of experienced research staff, provided with an orientation package and given the opportunity to grow and develop.
