Administrator - Fixed Term | Part time
We are a small not for profit based in Manawatū with growth ambitions. Plant to Plate (P2P) provides gardening and cooking programmes for primary schools across the Manawatū. We see huge opportunity in giving our future generations the skills and knowledge when it comes to food.
To keep the wheels turning while we determine what resourcing is needed to support our growth, we are looking for a person to work on a fixed term / part time basis in a key administration and social media role for 6 months.
Our programmes are run in schools weekly each Wednesday and you are the key contact between schools and Plant to Plate - both in the office and out in school communities. You’ll ensure our employees, volunteers and schools have everything needed to deliver our cooking and gardening programmes that are fun and teach children skills to take home to their whānau | families.You are also responsible for creating and publishing content across our social media platforms to keep our community up to date and spread the word about what we do.
First and foremost, you’ll need to share the passion for what we do (our kaupapa). You’ll bring the attitude and ability to get the work done and be part of a small team. There is a focus on building strong relationships with our P2P community (employees, volunteers, schools, funders and Board).Alongside this, you’ll need to be super organised and have current working knowledge of Google Docs, social media platforms, Canva (ideally), and MS products.
The 10 hours per week can be worked across two or three days (Monday is essential) and within school hours. You'll need a Driver's License to visit schools.
