Chef — Doubleshot Waiheke Island - ref. k4359803

We are seeking a Chef to join our small, busy kitchen team on Waiheke Island. The role focuses on day-to-day food preparation for a local café and takeaway, ensuring quality and consistency across all menu items.
This position involves general kitchen work, including:
- Preparing, cooking, and presenting menu items to a high standard
- Following food safety and hygiene procedures under the Auckland Council Food Control Plan
- Managing prep lists and assisting with stock rotation
- Maintaining a clean and efficient work environment
The successful applicant will have:
- At least three years’ experience working as a chef in a commercial kitchen
- Strong understanding of food safety standards
- The ability to work early mornings, weekends, and split AM/PM shifts as required
- A positive attitude and good communication skills
Residency on Waiheke Island (or secure local accommodation), as the role includes 6am starts which are not compatible with ferry commuting
This is a permanent position offering stable hours and a supportive team environment.
Guaranteed hours: Minimum 30 hours per week
