A role that makes a real difference in our hospitalsBe part of a team and communityTrainee position - full training providedPermanent, full time roleHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.About the RoleThe Central Sterile Sciences department is a business-critical service that provides decontamination and sterilisation services across Te Whatu Ora Waitematā (inpatient and community) as well as external customers.The position will require you to work at both the North Shore and Waitākere hospital campuses, enabling you to learn all aspects of instrumentation used in patient care.Within this role you will be responsible for the collection, sorting, decontamination, inspection, testing and sterilisation of surgical and medical devices at the cutting edge of technology, ensuring all quality assurance and compliance are met.

The tasks mentioned will involve some lifting.We will provide a fully comprehensive training programme, where you will have the opportunity to gain a nationally recognised qualification in Sterilising Technology.
