Abseiler - Rope Access Technician/ Hamilton / Greater Waikato**

$35-$40 per hour + allowances | Nationwide Travel

**Key Responsibilities**
  • Carry out rope access work safely and efficiently across industrial, commercial, and maintenance projects
  • Undertake commercial washing (building facades, cladding, exterior surfaces, gutters, roofs) to maintain presentation and extend asset life
  • Perform commercial painting including surface preparation, priming, and finishing of high-access areas such as walls, structural steel, and external features
  • Complete high-level window cleaning on multi-story buildings to deliver streak-free, professional results
  • Follow site safety protocols and WorkSafe NZ requirements at all times
  • Support project delivery through inspection, maintenance, and trade-related tasks
  • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients
  • Be open to learning new skills and undertaking further training
**Skills & Experience Required**
  • **IRATA Rope Access Certification (Level 1, 2, or 3)** - essential
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to travel nationwide and adapt to varied site environments
  • Physically fit and safety-conscious
  • Open to training and skill development

**Certificates & Licences**

**Legally Required / Industry Standard:**
  • IRATA Rope Access Certification (minimum Level 1)
  • Working at Heights Certificate (NZQA Unit Standards)
  • First Aid Certificate (NZQA 6401 & 6402)
  • Full NZ Driver's Licence (Class 1 minimum)
**Additional Preferred:**
  • Confined Spaces Training
  • Hazardous Substances Handling (HSNO / GHS)
  • EWP (Elevating Work Platform) Licence
  • Trade qualifications (e.g., painting, welding, inspection, maintenance)
