Position Purpose:

To assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of food for the cabinet and à la carte menu, following health, safety, and food hygiene standards. The role supports the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations and includes some independent food preparation and baking.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook dishes for breakfast, lunch, dinner and Cabinet offering
Maintain cleanliness and food safety compliance in the kitchen
Work both independently and collaboratively with the Head Chef
Occasionally assist in catering prep and events
Optional: support front-of-house staff if experienced and required,
Reporting to: Head Chef and Restaurant Manager

Work Hours: Rostered shifts between approx. 9:00am and 9:30pm .

Minimum 30hrs per week

Minimum Skills and Experience Required

At least 2 years cook experience .
Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
Ability to follow directions and work independently when needed
A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and good team communication
Barista or customer service experience is a bonus (not required)
