Insulation Installer - Great Pay and Great Company - Christchurch
We are searching for Insulation Installers to join our great company based in Christchurch and travelling all over Canterbury and the West Coast.
We are contractor to the Government's insulation subsidy scheme (Warmer Kiwi Homes) and we need more staff to keep up with demand.
No experience is required as we can train you up from scratch, however if you have any experience in the building industry here or abroad it would be a big advantage.
You will need to be fit and keen as you will be climbing in ceilings and under floors. You also must have a clean police record and pass a drug test before a job offer will be made.
The hours per week will vary relative to demand, but you will be paid on a piece rate i.e. The more insulation you install (to the relevant standard), the more you get paid. An inexperienced insulation installer is paid $2 per square meter (m2) of insulation properly installed and $1.50 per m2 of ground moisture barrier (black plastic) properly installed.Our experienced installers can make over $2000 per week. While you are training you will never make less than $25 an hour.
This role involves some travel. During these trips your driving time, food and accommodation is all paid for. Please do not apply for this role if you cannot travel.

The job entails:
-Installing ceiling, wall and under-floor insulation into new and existing homes- Being paid well. The harder you work, the more you get paid.
- Some houses will require black plastic to be installed on the ground
- Paid travel over Canterbury and the West Coast from time to time

- Pass a police check before commencement of work
- Honesty
- Reliable and trustworthy
- Safety conscious
- Willing and able to travel
- Provide 2 or more references
The following attributes are preferable:
- Full drivers license
- Site Safe passport
- First Aid certificate
- Experience in installing insulation
- Any experience in the construction industry
