Operations Manager

WCL Group is a well-established organization specializing in Interior finishing delivering high-quality projects within the commercial and residential sector throughout the Waikato. We're seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our leadership team and drive operational excellence across our ceiling batten, plasterboard installation and plastering division.

Key Responsibilities:- Oversee daily operations of multiple construction projects across commercial and residential within the interior space
- Ensure full compliance with NZ health and safety standards, building codes, and company policies
- Provide scheduling support, resource planning, and subcontractor coordination
- Coordinate and provide operational support to project managers to ensure seamless workflow
- Establish and monitor KPIs to assess project progress and identify areas for improvement
- Lead and manage company heath and safety and ensure staff compliance in line with Client and company expectations.
- Conduct regular site visits
- Prepare site documentation for project managers
- Provide support to QS contribute to tendering processes and provide operational input during project planning and negotiations
- Reporting direct to managing director

What We’re Looking For:- Proven experience in an operational role within the construction industry
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Deep understanding of NZ construction standards, H&S regulations, and industry best practices
- Ability to manage and oversee multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Must be competent in all aspects of Microsoft Office 365, experience working with WorkflowMax 2 would be an advantage.
- Full NZ driver’s license
