People & Safety Coordinator

We’re looking for a proactive and people-focused People & Safety Coordinator to join our team. This key role bridges our commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility, and our broader focus on supporting our people through strong HR practices and wellbeing initiatives.You'll help shape a safe, supportive, and compliant work environment where our team can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the development, implementation, and review of people and safety-related policies and procedures.
- Conduct risk assessments, site inspections, and audits – and follow up with practical, actionable recommendations.
- Assist with incident investigations and ensure accurate reporting and documentation.
- Deliver engaging inductions and coordinate ongoing health, safety, and wellbeing training.
- Monitor and support compliance with relevant legislation and internal processes.
- Maintain accurate records across HR, safety, and environmental systems.
- Champion safety and wellbeing initiatives across the business, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Experience and competency in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Experience in a human resources, health & safety, and/or people-focused role – ideally within construction, infrastructure, electrical or similar services.
- A sound understanding of current HSE & Employment legislation and best practices.
- Strong interpersonal and organisational skills with the ability to engage confidently across all levels.
- A self-starter who thrives in a collaborative team environment.
- Proficiency in related management systems and reporting tools is an advantage.
