Position: ECE or Primary Qualified Teacher (Full-Time, Permanent)Location: YMCA Taranaki, New Plymouth
Hours: 35-40 hours/week, rostered between 7:00am – 5:30pm, Monday to Friday

Our centre is a cosy and welcoming space, licensed for 49 tamariki (19 under 2s and 30 over 2s), where we celebrate individuality, imagination, and cultural identity. We work closely with our local community and whanau to create a nurturing environment that reflects the values, beliefs, and aspirations of those we serve.
What We’re Looking For:
We’re on the lookout for an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher who is provisionally or fully registered and holds a qualification in ECE or Primary teaching. You’ll be someone who:
- Has a calm, caring, and playful nature
- Is a collaborative team player and positive role model
- Inspires and motivates tamariki through creativity and curiosity
- Has a strong understanding of Te Whariki, programme planning, learning stories, and assessment
- Is confident with ECE regulations and compliance
- Communicates clearly and warmly (written and verbal)
- Brings energy, initiative, and a great sense of humour
- Holds a current First Aid Certificate (or is willing to obtain one)
