HVAC Service Technician

We are seeking a Full-time highly organised person who will be responsible for our scheduled maintenance checks and servicing for our commercial clients in Canterbury.

Experience is essential as is an EST registration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform regular planned maintenance checks on a variety of HVAC equipment including commercial HVAC systems, extraction fans and other electrical equipment and perform minor repairs where needed
• Identify, diagnose and troubleshoot issues where possible for further investigation
• Work closely with customers and relay technical information clearly
• Comply with all health and safety regulations and procedures
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of all work performed

The role does provide a vast range of tasks which are predominantly service/maintenance based, although the successful applicant must be willing and able to assist as required on installations. Therefore a background in installation and pipefitting is essential

• Experience in Commercial HVAC/Ventilation systems and electrical equipment is essential
• Experience working with clients and subcontractors
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Physically fit and able to perform physical tasks safely like able to lift equipment, climb ladders and work in varied environments like roofs for example
• Ability to be adaptive to changes in schedules
• A proactive, safety-focused mindset and work independently or as part of a team
• Computer literacy
• Be a team player
• Hold a full current and clean class 1 (car) driver's license (an ability to drive manual vehicles will be an advantage)
• Present themselves professionally, be reliable and have integrity
• Be able to communicate acceptably in English, both written and spoken
