About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior HVAC Mechanical Service Technician to join our Christchurch team.
Reporting to the Regional Service Manager, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality HVAC service work, leading by example on-site, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Key responsibilities include:- Carrying out planned maintenance, reactive and remedial service work
- Diagnosing faults and completing installation works on HVAC mechanical systems
- Coordinating and prioritising work to meet client and operational requirements
- Supporting scheduling and maximising efficiency of work in progress
- Preparing service reports, work dockets, and remedial recommendations
- Liaising with clients, suppliers, and internal teams
- Supporting and mentoring junior technicians where required
- NZ trade qualification in HVAC / Refrigeration / Mechanical or Electrical
- Valid NZ Full Driver's Licence
- Minimum 5+ years post-trade experience
- Strong background in commercial and industrial HVAC systems
- Experience with installation, maintenance, and fault diagnostics
- Solid understanding of building services mechanical systems
- Proven ability to manage customer expectations and service delivery
