  • What you'll doAs part of the Communications and Engagement team, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering cross-functional, and strategic communications that align with Ministry priorities.The Advisor plays a crucial role in supporting the Ministry's communications and engagement efforts, providing expert advice and implementing key initiatives to connect people with the organisation's purpose, vision, and values.Working collaboratively across teams, they contribute to the development and delivery of communication strategies and products, and stakeholder relationships while ensuring equity and Treaty of Waitangi obligations are met.
With a keen eye for effective messaging, whether through written content or visual presentation, they help shape the Ministry's brand, reputation, and commitment to te ao Māori.By managing projects, refining processes, and fostering partnerships internally and externally, the Advisor supports the Ministry in effectively disseminating health-related information to the public.

  • What you'll bringProviding communications and engagement experience advising Ministry leaders, gathering information, and contributing to key projects with oversight from senior staff.Development and implementation of products creating materials that align with the Ministry's communication strategy and priorities, ensuring clear and effective messaging.The ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships working across teams and with external stakeholders to foster connections, celebrate successes, and enhance engagement.Experience in media management and willingness to participate in an on-call media roster.Ensure equity and Treaty of Waitangi commitments incorporating cultural awareness and inclusivity into communications and engagement efforts.Contribute to continuous improvement enhancing processes, tools, and frameworks while maintaining the Ministry's brand, strategy, and communication style.
