- What you'll doAs part of the Communications and Engagements team, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering cross-functional, strategic communications that align with Ministry priorities.In this position you will:Deliver the Ministry's full suite of communications through contributing to projects that reflect the Ministry's priorities.Drive the capability uplift of the team through leveraging insights, research, and data to refine communication approaches and strengthen engagement.This will help drive the development of clear communication on government policy, and the Ministry's work.Support the media function, ensuring responses appropriately manage risk and the Ministry's reputation.Work with the team to ensure all communications activity is measured, undertake regular reviews of approaches, and plans to ensure objectives have been achieved and a continuous improvement approach is undertaken.

- What you'll bringStrong communications experience, delivery, and achieving business outcomesA demonstrable track record in providing high-quality advice to senior leaders and driving work programmes to ensure business objectives are achievedExperience in delivering internal communications that resonate with staff and support prioritiesCritical thinking and judgement in analysing large, complex issues and the ability to grasp ideas, analysis and advice produced by othersSignificant experience in media management and willingness to participate in an on-call media rosterDemonstrated experience working successfully in diverse cultural contexts, with knowledge of Māori and Pasifika relations in order to improve equity of outcomes,A strong focus on building and maintaining trust and confidence and positioning the organisation as a trusted authority within the public sector.
