JM Motor Limited is seeking a full-time Motor Mechanic / Automotive Technician to join our team. This role offers 30–40 hours per week, with a pay rate of $26 to $40 per hour, depending on experience and skills.
We are a busy and dynamic workshop, so we are looking for someone who is presentable, reliable, and able to perform under pressure while consistently delivering high-quality workmanship and maintaining excellent presentation standards.
Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):- Diagnose and identify mechanical and electrical faults in vehicles.
- Remove, repair, and replace engines, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other components, checking for wear or defects.
- Repair or replace defective parts, and reassemble mechanical components according to service manuals.
- Reassemble and test engines and parts after repair to ensure proper performance.
- Use diagnostic tools and computer systems to test and troubleshoot vehicle systems.
- Inspect vehicles and issue roadworthiness certificates or outline required repairs.
- Provide roadside assistance and attend vehicle breakdowns when required.
- Communicate professionally with customers and work effectively with colleagues.
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Be physically fit and capable of handling workshop demands.
- Have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or a suitable qualification.
- Enjoy being part of a small, supportive team.
