Join Our Team as an Automotive Mechanic at Motor Works!

We’re based at 340 Tuam Street, right in the heart of the city, between Fitzgerald Ave and Barbadoes Street.
What’s the role?
You’ll be working Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm, but there’s flexibility if you need it. We’re all about work-life balance, so we’re happy to accommodate where possible.
What we’re looking for:- People person – You’ll enjoy talking to customers and being part of a team.
- Experience – Previous workshop experience is a must. If you’ve got it, we want to hear from you!
- Team player – While you’ll have the independence to work on your own, we’re a small, close-knit team that supports each other.
- Clear communicator – Good written and verbal communication skills are key.
- Reliable and positive – We’re looking for someone who shows up with a "can-do" attitude and takes pride in their work.
- Attention to detail – We love a mechanic who is as thorough as they are skilled.
- Sense of humour – We work hard but know how to have a laugh!
- Valid driver’s license – A clean, full NZ driver’s license is required.
- Competitive hourly rate, negotiable based on experience.
- Work in a clean, well-equipped workshop with all the tools you need.

- Ongoing training to help you keep your skills sharp.

A current WOF certification is a bonus, but not essential. If you don’t have it, don’t worry! We’re more than happy to help you get a WOF inspector certificate.
