DRONE OPERATOR WANTED ??

Spot Spray is looking for a spray drone pilot to join our team working across Southland, Otago, and occasionally the wider South Island.

The role includes:

Drone spraying and spreading
Weed mapping and detection
Pasture cover measurement
Agricultural, environmental, and industrial projects
Strong agricultural background
Comfortable using technology
Full driver’s licence
Able to work independently and make decisions in the field
Able to work long and irregular hours during peak season (October–May)
Comfortable with night shifts
Good references

Experience with drones is preferred but training will be provided to the right candidate.

Fixed salary + bonus based on workload

Ideally based in Central or Western Southland.

This role is largely unsupervised once trained, so autonomy and initiative are essential. The successful applicant must be capable of planning work around weather, client requirements, and operational priorities.

This role suits someone who takes pride in their work, maintains high standards, and understands that getting the job done often means working long hours during peak season.

Aim to start September 2026.
