Love Punjab is Manurewa based Indian restaurant and sweets shop. We have an exciting opportunity available for cooks for making sweets and snacks including helping the chef in food preparation in the kitchen.
About the Role:
Position Title: CookLocation: Manurewa
Hours of work: Permanent, Full Time with minimum of 30 hours per week.
Pay Rate: $26-$30 per hour.
Duties include:- Preparing, cooking, and presenting cuisine/sweets as per menu.
- Supervising and training kitchen staff.
- Planning storage, usage and wastage of bulk raw material used in the kitchen.
- Ensuring food prepared in the kitchen is of highest possible standards.
- Cooking for groups of people at one time for events or special bookings.
- Checking temperature of freezer, oven, grill and other cooking equipment’s.
- Storing excess food at the correct temperature in order to avoid spoilage.
- Ensuring all the cooking utensils are clean before each use.
- Ensuring food health and safety regulations are followed.
- Level 4 qualification in cookery or 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Great interpersonal skills
- Good personal hygiene
- Can develop and train others.
- Able to work well as a part of a team.
Restaurant Manager
Love Punjab is Manurewa based Indian restaurant and sweets shop. We have an exciting opportunity available for a Restaurant Manager to deliver exceptional and satisfied services to our guests.
About the role
The Restaurant Manager is responsible for implementing and maintaining service standards. They should be building a team and leading them from the front.
This will be a full-time position with a minimum of 30 hours per week from Monday to Sunday. Remuneration will be $30-$32 per hour depending upon the experience.
As a suitable applicant you will be responsible for:- Menu Planning, Costing, organising and managing functions and events.
- Stock Management and liaising with suppliers.
- Liquor management and compliance in the restaurant
- Restaurant Staff Management
- Building relationship with customers and customer satisfaction.
- Maintaining all financial records of the restaurant
- Compliance with health and safety regulations
- 3 years proven experience or Level 5 diploma/ higher qualification
- The ability to motivate and direct a team to offer outstanding service
- Excellent communication skills
