We are looking for an experienced educator with a strong simulation background to promote, facilitate and provide education to interprofessional teams across the Dunedin Hospital setting.The Otago Clinical Skills Laboratories (OSCL) are a joint venture between Health New Zealand
  • Te Whatu Ora, Southern and the University of Otago.
It is a venue and a service that provides training and education for under-graduate students and health professionals.Responsibilities of this role include the following:Foster education, training, and research to improve health services and enhance our skilled professional workforceImprove patient outcomes through an interprofessional educationSpecialise in the development, application and assessment of clinical procedural skills and communication, using blended learning modalitiesModalities include use of part task trainers, simulated patients, simulation with synthetic environments and e-learning programsFocus on both non-technical (communication, situational awareness and teamwork) and clinical skills, for individuals and interprofessional teamsCollaborate with nurses, medical colleagues as well as other educators to provide practice and professional development opportunitiesEnhance service delivery, quality and safety alongside improved patient outcomesEnsure safe care practice standardsPromote interprofessional patient focused careView position description.
