Design Engineer – Junior/Intermediate

• A tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience with 2D & 3D design, including SolidWorks
• Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Excel and Word
• The ability to juggle multiple priorities and stay organised
• A sharp eye for detail, accuracy, and tidy work
• A natural talent for problem-solving
• Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal
• Bonus: hands-on experience in an engineering workshop

• Creating 3D models and detailed drawings in SolidWorks
• Producing 2D CAD drawings
• Sourcing and ordering materials from suppliers
• Tracking and reporting on design progress and timelines
• Collaborating with customers, suppliers, and the workshop team
• Getting involved in the workshop to better understand how designs come together in practice
• Work on diverse, real-world projects—no boring repeat work
