At Seipp Construction, we take pride in our reputation for delivering high-quality civil construction projects across New Zealand. As an award-winning company operating throughout the North and South Islands, we specialise in deep and large-diameter pipework, pump stations, sheet piling, civil structures, and marine works.

Our success is built on our loyal, well-trained team, our commitment to continuous improvement, and our culture of innovation and collaboration.

The Role

Due to continued growth, we are expanding our capabilities and looking for an experienced Drainage Foreman to join our team. This hands-on leadership role offers the opportunity to apply your technical expertise and people skills across a range of challenging and rewarding projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading a crew of 4-6 team members across large-scale drainage projects.
  • Developing and implementing work plans and construction methodologies.
  • Driving productivity and ensuring quality outcomes on site.
  • Liaising with subcontractors, clients, and project managers.
  • Setting up and maintaining strong Health & Safety practices.
  • Planning, scheduling, and coordinating daily site activities.
  • Getting on the tools when needed to support your team.

You

To thrive in this role, you will bring:

  • At least 5 years' experience in civil construction, specialising in drainage operations.
  • A recognised trade qualification - CCC Approved Drainlayer preferred.
  • Strong technical knowledge of stormwater, water reticulation, and wastewater systems.
  • Experience with bypass pumping, dewatering, and trench shoring techniques.
  • A sound understanding of drainage specifications and industry best practices.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor others.
  • A proactive approach to Health & Safety and quality assurance.
  • A clean Class 1 driver's licence with WTR endorsements and machinery operation experience.
  • A team-first attitude, reliability, and pride in your workmanship.
  • A good sense of humour - we value people who enjoy their work and their teammates.

What We Offer

In return, you'll join a team that values excellence, teamwork, and personal development. You'll receive a competitive remuneration package and the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects - from large-diameter culverts to bridges and marine infrastructure.

You'll also be part of our Foreman Leadership Group, helping shape best practices and drive continuous improvement across the company.
