Ngā kawenga | About the roleAs the main conduit between our Corrections Services' teams and the New Zealand Parole Board, the role of Parole Board Liaison Officer is vital in ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of the parole review process for offenders in our care.

Proactive in nature, you will be quick to identify and resolve issues, communicating effectively with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure timelines are never compromised.From the monitoring of review hearing schedules and updating of records to the collation of information and booking of appropriate facilities, your skills will be put to the test.The role operates within the framework of the department's Women's Strategic Plan

The Women's Strategic Plan provides a strategic approach to achieve Hōkai Rangi, in a way that works for women in our management and our staff.

By applying cultural and gender responsive lenses alongside a trauma informed approach, you will support consistent and effective practice, contribute to improved outcomes for women, and help embed a culture of gender‑responsive decision‑making across the organisation.Reporting to the Principal Case Manager, this position will be responsible for liaison with NZ Parole Board in the administration of Parole Board hearings.This role is currently available as a part time (0.5) position based at Christchurch Women's Prison, there is some flexibility available with working hours and this will be discussed further at interview stage.

Utu ā-tau | SalaryThe full range is $65,799
  • $72,394 per annum (pro rata).
Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
