Mō te tūnga | About the roleOur People Services whānau are currently seeking a Senior People Adviser to join our team on a part-time basis, based in either Hamilton or Christchurch.The People Services team partners closely with our frontline leaders, connecting people practices across the organisation to enable better ways of working.
We play a pivotal role in the ongoing delivery of high-quality people processes, policies, strategies and services that contribute to the successful achievement of the Department's strategy Hōkai Rangi.As an experienced HR professional, you will know that being driven and committed to delivering key people related initiatives, improving performance and raising capability is only part of the journey.
Equally important is your ability to engage across all levels of the organisation with confidence, passion and empathy.Reporting directly to the Manager People Services, you will draw on your previous experience to coach, guide and provide trusted advice.
Your work will encompass a broad range of matters including employment relations, HR policy and procedures, and performance development Mōu | About you You are somebody who enjoys working at pace and thrives in an environment that is both complex and varied—where the adage no two days are ever the same truly comes to life.You'll bring experience working within a large organisation where compliance with policy and process is essential, along with the ability to deliver operational human resource services effectively and efficiently in a challenging environment.
