Position Overview:
We are looking for a capable and hands-on Microtunneling Foreman to lead and support trenchless operations on site. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in civil or underground works who enjoys mentoring others, maintaining a safe, efficient work environment, and delivering high-quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project managers/engineers to plan and execute drilling operations, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
- Interpret and work from construction drawings, alignment plans, and project specifications.
- Lead the day-to-day setup, operation, and maintenance of trenchless equipment.
- Supervise and support trenchless operations, with a focus on microtunneling and guided boring techniques.
- Proactively identify and resolve on-site issues to minimise downtime and maintain progress.
- Maintain site safety, enforce H&S procedures, and ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Record daily site activity, including equipment performance, crew hours, and material usage.
- Train and assist crew members to develop their skills and maintain productivity.
Requirements:
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in trenchless, civil, or underground infrastructure projects.
- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities with a team-focused approach.
- Hands-on experience with trenchless methods such as laser-guided auger boring.
- Familiarity with Bohrtec or similar trenchless systems preferred.
- Physically fit and capable of working in varying and potentially extreme conditions, including heat, cold, dust, noise, and confined spaces.
- Demonstrated commitment to high safety standards and quality outcomes.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Full driver’s license and relevant safety certifications preferred.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
