Senior Design Engineer

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer who has previously managed a Design department, has good communication skills, and strong leadership. You will be proficient in Solid-works, and ideally have an understanding of other CAD systems e.g Pro-E. Knowledge of roll-forming, and coil processing equipment would be beneficial.
Serve as the key point of contact between design department, and the Business Development Manager in preparing quotations for customers.
Strive to achieve continued improvement, and efficiency while focusing on standardization of products.
Assist junior design engineers, ensuring best practise and cost-effective design.
Proficiency in Solid-works, and other design software.
Technical expertise is important, with a focus on co-ordination, problem solving, and the support of the design team to develop an engaged and coherent designs that are effectively carried over into production.

Manage the overall progress of meeting design target dates, and project budgets together with the Operational Manager, and ensuring KPI targets are met.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar management role.Proficiency in Solid-works, and other design software.
Previous manufacturing industry experience.
