Mo te tunga | About the role

We are currently looking for a Case Manager to join our dedicated team at Otago Corrections Facility. As a Case Manager, you will provide specialist, end-to-end management of people serving sentences as they work through programmes aimed at addressing rehabilitation and reintegration needs.

This includes initial assessment, needs identification, case planning, and partnering with whanau and external agencies to support rehabilitation. Case Managers also prepare reports and recommendations for the Parole Board, which means there is a significant amount of report writing in the role.

Our Case Managers meet directly with people in prison and seek to understand what is required to support their rehabilitation and reintegration. This is a rewarding but also challenging aspect of the role, and while you will have a supportive team and a solid training pathway to help you build your skills, high levels of resilience are required.

Case Managers lead rehabilitation and reintegration using a person-centric approach. By focusing on the wellbeing of the person, you will help reduce the chances of them returning to past behaviour and support them to make better choices for the future.

This is a full-time, permanent position based at Otago Corrections Facility, working Monday to Friday.
