The Role
You’ll become "the face of the hotel", the front desk/reception is the 'nerve hub' of a hotel. Receiving, processing and passing on of information is at this roles core, all while ensuring our guests first and last impression is positively memorable.This is a full time position requiring a commitment of at least 37.5 hours per week.
Attributes, Responsibilities & Knowledge:- 1+ years guest service experience, preferably in the hotel industry
- Physical ability to be on your feed for most parts of your shift
- Ability for planning ahead and finding most efficient ways to deliver best guest service
- A high standard of personal presentation
- "Hands on approach" to your work and "can do" attitude.
- A friendly smile and excellent verbal and written communication skills (English proficiency is a must)
- Previous experience with PMS (ideally Oracle Opera or similar)
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft applications
- Ability to work within a team as well as autonomously at times
- High attention to detail and immaculate time management skills
- Ability to work a variety of shifts Mon-Sun
- Willingness to contribute in development and implementation of ongoing service standard improvements
- An eye for detail in the presentation of the reception and lobby environment
- Problem-solving when faced with last-minute changes and/or operational obstacles
- Foreign language skills a plus
- Consistently strive to achieve the highest standards and continuously improve in every aspect of being a true
- Dedicated to developing your own skills and abilities through ongoing learning and commitment
- Possessing an eagerness to learn, asking questions and find out how things work and why
