How to Apply:
If you’re a skilled Refrigeration Engineer looking for a varied and interesting role in Whitianga, we’d love to hear from you.
Living in the Coromandel Peninsula feels like being on permanent holiday—except it’s home.
You wake up to clean, salt-tinged air drifting in from the Pacific, with beaches that look postcard-perfect even on an ordinary Tuesday. The light here is different—clearer, softer, almost golden—and it makes the turquoise water and lush native bush glow in a way that never really gets old.
Life moves at a gentler rhythm. Instead of traffic noise, you hear tui calling from pohutukawa trees and waves folding onto the sand. Mornings might start with a swim at Hot Water Beach, where you can dig your own natural spa in the sand. Weekends could mean kayaking around the iconic limestone arches of Cathedral Cove or hiking through regenerating native forest with sweeping ocean views.
The community is just as special as the scenery. There’s a strong creative spirit—artists, musicians, growers, makers—people who’ve chosen lifestyle over rush. Local markets, small cafés, fishing off the rocks at sunset… it all feels grounded and real.
And then there’s the simplicity. Fresh seafood. Star-filled skies without city glare. Knowing your neighbours. Watching storms roll in across the sea and feeling small in the best possible way.
Living in Coromandel isn’t just about beautiful views—it’s about breathing easier, working in a pleasant environment, and feeling connected to the community, team and landscape everyday.
