**About the role and who we are looking for:**
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced **Cook** to join our team at **Taranaki Hospital**.This is a **casual role**, with hours offered on an **as-and-when-required** basis to support café and patient meal services.
**You will be responsible for:**- baking and preparing food for our café and patient feeding operations
- prepare, cook and present food
- developing menus
- receive and store kitchen supplies, ordering and stock control
- clean and maintain kitchen
- do catering for an event/function
**Ideal skills and experience you will have:**
We are seeking a hands-on cook who can use their energy, expertise and skills to ensure a superior quality of service at all times. Reporting to the Head Chef, you need to be :
- organised and calm, with an eye for detail
- be able to follow recipes
- have attention to detail and work with speed
- work both as part of a team and independently
- hardworking, reliable and flexible
- relevant industry qualifications preferred
- experience working as a cook
