Car Yard - Operations Assistant -Cheapies CHCH-

Cheapies Christchurch has expended and is now looking for an operations assistant to work closely with the owner on all thing's cars. This role is based at our Ferry Road retail location.
Tasks Include:- Opening and closing of the premises
- Real time assessment of vehicles for their reconditioning needs (grooming, paint, mechanical and more)
- Taking ad listing photos of vehicles with precision and accuracy
- Managing timeframes and eta's
- Managing on yard vehicle layout & presentation
- Customer sales interactions when needed (note this is not a sales role)
- Actively applying practical steps to ensure the safety and security of the yard and its assets
- Determine what a noise might be when you go over a bump
- Notice when a wheel alignment is out
- Park a car in a tight space
- Move x5 cars to get to the one needed
- Replace a vehicle battery with skill and care
- Grab the vacuum cleaner to give a vehicle a quick tidy up when needed
- Spot imperfections in supplier's work
- Constantly recognize security issues in regard to the safety of our vehicle stock & premises
- Apply the yards interests when managing paid reconditioning work at the coal face
A FULL-DRIVER's license is required for this position (without exception)
