Baker Wanted – Starfish Café, Dunedin ??

This is a 25–35 hours/week role, Monday to Friday, starting bright and early at 5:30/6:00am – so if you love quiet mornings, the smell of fresh baking, and having afternoons free, this is for you.

• At least 2+ years baking experience (bonus points if you’ve mastered the perfect scone ??)
• Solid time management skills – because the muffins won’t wait
• A good sense of humour – we like to start the day with a laugh, not just caffeine
• Someone who can “come up with the goods” – whether that’s a killer new slice or perfect bread rolls
• Knowledge of the classics and confidence to get creative with flavours
• Pride in producing consistently top-notch baking that keeps our customers coming back

• Fun, supportive team that doesn’t take itself too seriously (but takes good food very seriously)
• A cruisy coastal café environment – work with the sound of the ocean in the background
• Your afternoons free – because you’ve earned that nap
• A place where ideas are encouraged, and your baking will actually get eaten (and praised!)
• Two weeks off at Christmas (Annual Shutdown)
