Facilities Caretaker - Full Time
Programmed Facility Management is seeking two Full Time Facilities Caretakers** to join our Christchurch team, based at Rolleston College**. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys being active, takes pride in their work, and thrives in a school environment.
About the Role**
You will work 40 hours per week**, Monday to Friday, on 8-hour shifts between 7:00am and 6:00pm**. Reporting to the on-site Facilities Coordinator, you will be responsible for the care, cleaning, maintenance, and ongoing development of the school facilities.All work must be completed safely, professionally, and with minimal disruption to school operations.
Key Responsibilities**- Complete a variety of maintenance and work requests within set timeframes
- Carry out minor repairs, general maintenance, and cleaning tasks
- Conduct regular facility inspections
- Build and maintain positive relationships with contractors, school staff, and colleagues
- Use basic computer systems for reporting and job management
- Physically fit, flexible, and adaptable
- Trade or handyman experience is highly desirable
- Strong work ethic with a positive, can-do attitude
- Reliable, honest, and a team player
- Excellent communication skills
- Comfortable taking ownership and responsibility
- Basic computer literacy
- Able to pass full police vetting with a clear criminal conviction history

- School Police Vetting
Applicants must:
- Have verifiable work rights and eligibility to work in New Zealand
- Hold a full, clean New Zealand Driver's Licence**
