Please note that working a weekend day is required.
While an interest in plants is helpful, what matters most to us is your ability to connect with people, build great working relationships, and help customers feel confident in their purchases.
About the role
This is a full-time, customer-facing role where you’ll:- Welcome and engage customers in a warm, approachable way
- Ask questions and listen to understand customer needs
- Confidently recommend plants and related products
- Help drive sales through great service (not pushy selling)
- Work closely with the team to maintain an inviting garden centre
- Contribute positively to a supportive, team-focused workplace
What we’re really looking for
We’re especially keen to hear from people who:- Genuinely enjoy interacting with customers
- Can build rapport easily and communicate clearly
- Are comfortable selling and making recommendations
- Work well in a team and form strong working relationships
- Are reliable, proactive and take pride in their work
- You don’t need to be a plant expert to apply
- A genuine interest in gardening and willingness to learn is essential
- Training will be provided — we value people skills just as highly as plant knowledge
- Full-time, stable role working for a premium grower of plants
