Construction Project Manager – Wellington
Are you an experienced Construction Project Manager with a proven track record in overseeing new build commercial projects valued at $25m or more? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join a major infrastructure project in Wellington!
My client is a leading contractor in the commercial construction market throughout New Zealand, and with an excellent pipeline of work ahead things are going great for the company. Due to relocation within the company they now need to recruit an experienced Project Manager to take on a new build health project within the city.Experience with health projects in the past would be great but it isn’t essential. A proven track record of delivering commercial construction projects, on time and to budget, and a desire to further your own career will make you a great fit for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all phases of the construction project from inception to completionCollaborate closely with the commercial team to ensure project objectives are met on time and within budgetOversee the coordination of subcontractors, suppliers, and onsite personnelEnsure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulationsManage project schedules, budgets, and quality assurance processesProvide effective leadership to project staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Project Manager in vertical build commercial construction projects, specifically with projects valued at $25m or aboveStrong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse teamExcellent organizational and problem-solving abilitiesIn-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal regulationsBachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
