Each day will be different, and you will have the opportunity to work in with patients who need your care and support. The role is an opportunity work as part of a dynamic and passionate team in an acute mental health setting. Your direct impact will influence the people we care for during vulnerable times in their journey through mental health.About the Team/Service/ LocationTe Awhina is a 12-bed inpatient unit for people over the age of 18.
Based on the Whanganui Hospital campus, Te Awhina treats service users who are in the acute phase of their mental illness.In addition to the treatment offered, the service provides sensory modulation rooms, day activities and peer support. The multi-disciplinary teamwork in partnership with service users and their family/whānau to support their recovery.
