The retirement of a long-term employee has created a fantastic opportunity for some lucky person to step in and receive training with a Top NZ Company.
Ideally, our client would like to attract someone who has already gained work experience within the plastics industry.
You will have a working knowledge of plastic material properties (PP, HDPE, PVC, etc and may have already completed or started studying towards your plastic competenz qualifications.
or you may have experience in say a chemical, paint, or food industry following recipes to mix large batches (1- 2 Ton) of ingredients and would like to transfer your skills to join a growth industry .
The successful candidate will receive training on dayshift , learning about plastic materials and colourants and to understand the operation of a new $M computer-controlled plant.
We are looking for a self-motivated, energetic person who is not afraid of hands-on work.
Applicants will be required to demonstrate:-
Good mechanical skills, preferably with some machine operation/ setting experience.
Good Organisational Skills.
Strong mathematical ability. Minimum NCEA school certificate level to calculate percentages and weights etc.
General computer literacy to populate in-house business systems and use HMI screens.
Having Quality and Health & Safety training.
Preferably have a fork hoist licence. If not, training is available.
Note. This company is very focused on employee well-being and is Health and Safety Compliant. At times, powder dust can be created, requiring operators to wear face/breathing masks in some areas of the factory. Although the plant is automated, this position will occasionally require moderate lifting of 20 Kg bags.
