ABOUT US:
Sofa Tech is a leading sofa repair company, specialising in high-quality furniture repair, sofa recolouring, and leather rejuvenation. Our services cover Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty Regions, Hawkes Bay, Taranaki, Manawatu, Wellington, Canterbury, and Otago Regions.

We are a 100% mobile service provider, catering to both large chain stores and private customers. As we continue to expand our reach, we are looking to add another Furniture Repair Technician to our team in the Auckland region.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
This role is perfect for someone who is starting out in their career and looking to learn from the best. We will provide full training for the right candidate to become a certified furniture repair technician. We are looking for someone who is reliable, honest, has common sense, has a strong work ethic, follows instructions and takes pride in their work.

Personality and attitude are key for us, as we value individuals who fit into our team culture and deliver high-quality work to our customers consistently.

As a Furniture Repair Technician, you will be responsible for a range of repair tasks, including upholstery and leather repair, spot cleaning, stitching, and minor upholstery work. You will also be involved in replacing parts, rebuilding furniture, and handling various repair jobs on-site at customers' homes or businesses.

Flexibility is essential as you may need to work irregular hours to meet deadlines and cover other regions as needed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School Graduate.
  • A clean Full Driver License.
  • Technical or Trade School qualification (preferred but not essential)
  • Furniture repair experience (a plus but not required as full training will be provided)
  • Strong customer service focus.
  • Physically fit and comfortable working in various environments (customer homes).
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Able to work independently and travel daily.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A clean criminal record.
