We are looking for a capable and organised administrator to provide support for our Planned Care and Outsourcing team.

About the Role

This role plays a key part to ensuring the smooth administration of outsourced patient care.

Key responsibilities
  • Reconciliation of patient information
  • Maintaining accurate data records including admitting and discharging patients
  • Coordinating with booking clerks and nurses
  • Tracking, filing, and processing invoices for various providers including outsourced medical services .
  • Organising and maintaining patient notes for outsourced providers
  • Providing backup support to the whole outsourcing team as required

About the Team/Service

You will be joining a team of Outsourcing administrators who work closely with clinical services, booking teams, external providers, and the Regional Planned Care Team. The team works collaboratively to deliver outsourced patient care in line with regional priorities, with a strong focus on teamwork, accurate administration, and timely patient outcomes.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Knowledge and understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to effectively multi-task
  • Experience with invoicing and accounts payable
  • Proven experience in an administration role within the hospital or health environment
  • A positive team player with a can-do attitude
