Nga Taiatea Wharekura is a co-educational kura located in Kirikiriroa; which is committed to providing education in Te Reo Maori with just under 300 uri.
We are seeking a full-time Kaitiaki-Caretaker, someone who works well in a team and will be involved with the everyday maintenance of the school buildings and grounds to ensure that our kura is operating at a high standard.
Position Summary:- responsible for aspects of property, grounds, security, cleaning, vehicle, Health and Safety and Emergency procedures.
- work well with kaimahi, uri and manuwhiri
- have good communication skills and customer service skills as you are a visible member of our kura.
- Ideally proven experience in a school or other caretaking environment
- Have good working knowledge of building maintenance, basic repairs and ground keeping
- Basic computer literacy
- Must have a valid drivers licence
- Can work independently
