Medical Lab Scientist / Technician - Taupo
In these roles, you will work within a modern and well-equipped lab, offering the opportunity to gain a broad range of experience and develop your skills in medical laboratory science. The successful candidates will contribute to essential clinical support and ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of our laboratory departments.Key Responsibilities:Laboratory Support: Assist in the daily operations of the Biochemistry or Haematology departments, including quality control, sample analysis, reagent management, and providing clinical support.Shift Work: Participate in the out-of-hours roster, including evening and weekend shifts, ensuring continuous laboratory services.Collaboration: Work closely with laboratory scientists, clinicians, and other team members to deliver high-quality laboratory services.
Click here to view the position description. About the Team and Service:Our fast-paced medical diagnostic laboratory supports Waikato Hospital and its five satellite hospitals. We also offer specialist testing services for community laboratories throughout the Waikato and Midland regions, ensuring a comprehensive service for our patients.About You:To be successful in this role, you will need the following:Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Teamwork: Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.Commitment to Quality: A strong focus on continuous quality improvement.Registration: Must be registered with the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand, or eligible for registration.Experience: Previous experience in a medical laboratory setting is preferred but not required.If youre eager to contribute to a high-quality healthcare environment and gain valuable experience, wed love to hear from you!
