About the Business

As Bottle-O, Tauriko we are seeking a reliable and motivated Store Manager to oversee and manage day to operations and ensure an exceptional customer experience.

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the liquor store to ensure smooth and efficient trading.
• Supervise, train, and motivate retail staff to deliver excellent customer service.
• Ensure compliance with New Zealand liquor licensing laws, age verification requirements, and health & safety regulations.
• Monitor stock levels, place orders, and coordinate with suppliers to maintain product availability.
• Handle cash management, daily reconciliations, and store banking procedures.
• Maintain high store presentation standards, including merchandising, cleanliness, and promotional displays.
• Resolve customer enquiries and complaints professionally and promptly.
• Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and improve profitability.
• Prepare staff rosters and manage labour costs effectively.
• Conduct regular stocktakes and minimise stock loss or shrinkage.
• Ensure responsible sale of alcohol practices are followed at all times.
• Support marketing promotions and local store campaigns.
• Introduce and implement new and innovative ideas to generate revenue.
• Manage operations with passion, integrity and knowledge while promoting the culture and values of the Store.
• Consistently review operations and staff to identify any problems, concerns and opportunities for improvement

• Age 18 years or older.
• NZ Register Diploma in Business OR at least two years of experience in the same industry may substitute for the formal qualification
• Team player and ability to work competently under pressure.
• Reliable and flexible to change.
• Duty Manager Certificate

Please note, this is a full-time position with rostered/split shifts, including weekends. Applicantshould be available as per the rostered shifts including weekends.
