An exciting opportunity has become available to join our current team in a leading manufacturing company.
Based in the Tauriko Industrial Estate, Tauranga, EasyGate manufacture driveway gates from 1m to 13m long for both domestic and commercial clients. We have our own modern powder coating plant on site.
We are looking for a highly motivated, confident individual, with a pro-active attitude to work in a small friendly team environment. The ideal individual must be able to work independently, be accountable and willing to take responsibility for their work.
Key Duties:- Manufacture aluminium driveway gates and fence panels from plans and job invoices using mig and tig welders. This involves measuring profiles, cutting, welding, grinding, sanding, and polishing to complete a driveway gate to a high standard.
- Assist Powder Coating of finished gates and panels - powder spraying and assisting in pre-treatment process.
The pay rate for this role will be between $28 and $35 per hour for a 40 hour week, depending on experience and skill mix between the fabrication / welding and powder coating areas.
Key Skill Requirements:- Minimum of 2 years’ experience welding aluminium - with a proficiency of using both Mig and Tig machines.
- Currently hold relevant welding certificates.
- Accuracy in measuring and cutting of materials.
- Able to work from plans, written descriptions, or under verbal instruction.
- Powder coat a wide range of metal products to a high standard.
- Demonstrate good ability to spray to the correct thickness range, full coverage and in a timely manner.
- Have a proven history of productive service.
- Have pride in the quality of their workmanship and finished items.
- Ability to work as part of a team but take responsibility for their own production output.
- Be reliable and self-motivated.
- Have a sound understanding of and personal commitment to safe working practices.
- Have a good physical health history and able to pass a drug test if required.
- Help in warehouse restocking of product and assisting quality checking and dispatching of orders.
