About the Role (your why)

As a Project Manager within the Delivery Assurance team, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving the successful delivery of key initiatives.
You’ll lead the planning, coordination, and execution of assigned projects—ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. Beyond project execution, you’ll oversee the seamless release of application software into user acceptance and production environments.

In addition, you’ll champion people-focused change management, guiding teams through the adoption of strategic priorities and enabling meaningful, lasting transformation across client organisation, at all levels to support readiness for change and embedding new ways of working.

What you'll do

Your role will include but not be limited to;
  • Ensuring all contracted projects are delivered to the highest quality standard, within scope, in budget and on time
  • Delivery management of medium risk, medium-complexity projects. Coordinating documentation, design, development and testing of enhancements and new development projects.
  • Taking full responsibility for the definition, approach, facilitation and satisfactory completion of projects.
  • Tailoring project methodology to individual projects. Estimating, scheduling and planning resources for the allocated component of a development project.
  • Controlling project schedules and ensuring that applications programs are delivered within given timeframes, meet user requirements, and are easily maintainable.
  • Providing direction to employees according to established policies and management guidance Contributor to RFPs and presales activities; Statement of Work creation.
  • Facilitating and managing Discovery engagements. Preparing project budgets, attaining necessary approvals in a timely manner, monitoring and forecasting project financials and the realisation of defined project benefits
  • Working with stakeholders and customers to understand change needs and propose solutions.
  • Enforcing and policing in-house change control standards and procedures.
  • Proactively manage transformation, change and digital adoption for transformation programmes of all medium to larger sizes.
  • Stay up to date with the latest developments in change management, bringing thought leadership to the senior role.
  • Develop and implement change strategies and plans for strategic projects.
  • Engage with and support teams to achieve successful adoption of change initiatives.
  • Support in the preparation for and delivery of information sessions, presentations and other project change and communication activities.
  • Design and delivery of training programs where required.
  • Support and contribute to the continuous evolution of Datacom’s change approaches Raising necessary tasks in internal change control system.
  • Providing guidance and directions to application developers with regards to the change control procedures.
  • Ensuring that change control procedures are followed, and related documentation is maintained.
  • Maintaining, configuring, and supporting of change management systems.
  • Coordinating user acceptance testing activities.

What you’ll bring:

Required experience:

  • Demonstrated understanding and implementation of Project Management disciplines including commercials, financials, scope, time, quality, resourcing, communications, risk, and procurement management.
  • Plan-driven/predictive adaptive (iterative and Agile) delivery approaches
  • Financial management practices with a clear understanding of the relationship between costs, utilisation and project revenue.
  • Demonstrated experience in change related people projects, change management principles, methodologies, and tools would be an advantage
  • Good understanding of how people go through a change and the release process
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills and outstanding written, verbal and presentation communication skills
  • Experience supporting senior executives and taking staff on the change journey
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and operate in ambiguous and often rapidly changing environments
  • Ability to influence others and move toward a common goal
  • Problem solving and root cause identification skills
  • Acute business acumen and understanding of organisational issues and challenges
  • Ability to escalate with a solution focus.
  • Ability to assist in the development of change plans, communication plans, and training plans to support change
  • Strong written and communication skills to support change plans
  • Ability to frequently interact with a variety of stakeholders and team members, normally involving matters between functional areas, other Datacom divisions, customers, and the company.
  • Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organisational goals, and passionate about building an innovative culture.
  • Proven negotiating skills with the aptitude to ensure win/win situations for all parties. Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent customer relationship building and management skills. Strong influencing and persuasive ability.
  • Strong consultative and planning skills. Ability to escalate with a solution focus

  • Working within Cherwell and ServiceNow ITSM Technologies
  • Previous consulting experience
  • Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • Experience contributing to proposals and presenting to senior stakeholders
