About the Role
We are currently seeking a skilled and creative Kitchen Designer to join our East Auckland team. The successful candidate will work closely with clients and our production team to design and deliver bespoke kitchen and joinery solutions that meet both aesthetic and functional requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Meet with clients to understand their design needs, preferences, and budgets.
- Prepare detailed design concepts, technical drawings, and 3D presentations using design software.
- Provide expert advice on layout, materials, finishes, and appliances.
- Work with the manufacturing and installation teams to ensure designs are feasible and executed to a high standard.
- Prepare cost estimates and assist with project quotations.
- Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, building codes, and health & safety requirements.
- Maintain excellent communication with clients throughout the design and installation process.
- NZ Diploma in Design (or equivalent qualification), OR at least 2 years of proven industry experience in kitchen or interior joinery design.
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D rendering tools).
- Strong technical knowledge of cabinetry construction, joinery methods, and materials.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail, creativity, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of New Zealand building regulations and health & safety practices is advantageous.
- Competitive hourly pay rate between $33.00 – $35.00, depending on experience.
