With a solid reputation for quality delivery and long-term client relationships, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support delivery across civil projects.

About the Role

This is a true end-to-end Project Manager position suited to a PM/PE-level professional who is comfortable taking full responsibility for programme, cost control, claims, variations and overall project performance.

Projects are typically valued between $5m and $15m, and you will be accountable for ensuring they are delivered safely, on programme and within budget while protecting margin.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing detailed construction programmes using Microsoft Project
  • Managing projects in accordance with NZS3910
  • Preparing and submitting monthly claims under measure and value contracts
  • Variation identification, pricing and negotiation
  • Forecasting, cost-to-complete reporting and margin management
  • Implementing and managing weekly and monthly planning processes
  • Subcontractor and supplier management
  • Supporting estimating, pricing and tender reviews where required
  • Maintaining strong client and consultant relationships

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated experience running civil projects in the $5m–$15m range with full accountability for programme, claims, variations and financial outcomes.

You will bring:

  • Strong and vast experience leading $5-$15m scale projects
  • Strong working knowledge of NZS3910 contracts
  • Experience with measure and value claims processes
  • Proven ability in variation pricing and negotiation
  • Sound commercial acumen and forecasting capability
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Project
  • Experience with structured weekly and monthly planning tools
  • Some exposure to estimating or tender pricing
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong communication skills
