The main hospital sites are North Shore Hospital on the shores of Takapunas Lake Pupuke and Waitakere Hospital within sight of West Aucklands green belt and not far from our wild surf beaches.We are looking for a consultant Palliative Medicine physician for a 0.9 FTE position in our Hospital Palliative Care consult service.In this role you will provide clinical leadership within the Hospital Palliative Care team across both hospitals working alongside the lead care teams.

You will also be involved in providing care in Supportive Care clinics, education and training of staff, quality initiatives and service development. It is an exciting role with opportunities for career development and peer support both regionally and nationally.The successful candidate will hold a Fellowship of the Australasian Chapter of Palliative Medicine (Royal Australasian College of Physicians) or equivalent and be vocationally registered (or qualify for such registration) with the New Zealand Medical Council as a Specialist in Palliative Medicine.
