About the Role
As Duty Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing front-of-house operations, ensuring smooth service, and leading by example. You’ll supervise staff, support rostering and ordering, and ensure customer experiences are consistently high-quality.This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced café environment, ideal for someone who enjoys responsibility and thrives under pressure.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee daily service and team operations
- Manage customer service and resolve issues confidently
- Staff supervision, training and performance support
- Assist with stock management and ordering
- End-of-day cash handling and reporting
- Maintain compliance with food safety and health regulations
- Uphold our warm and welcoming culture
- Previous experience in a leadership role in hospitality or café service
- Confident managing a team and creating a positive work environment
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Good knowledge of food safety standards (training provided)
- Duty Manager’s Certificate (preferred) or LCQ
- NZ work rights
- Competitive hourly wage ($25–$30/hr based on experience)
