Then we want to hear from you! We are looking for a full-time heavy diesel mechanic who has a great track record in maintaining, overhauling and repairing large trucks!

ABOUT THE ROLE...

We have a great team and consider attitude and cultural fit to be key elements in defining and identifying the right candidate for this role. The day-to-day duties in this role will require you to:

  • Diagnose, identify faults and carry out repairs as required, including hydraulic, pneumatic and pumping systems.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance and inspections on tanker equipment (training may be provided if required).
  • Install new machines and equipment as required.
  • Overhaul, maintain and repair plant machines.
  • Review and advise on engineering requirements and drawings where applicable.
  • Ensure safe working practices at all times.
  • Carry out routine inspections.
  • Diagnose, identify faults and carry out repairs as required, including hydraulic, pneumatic and pumping systems.
  • Undertake occasional onsite inspections/breakdown work.
ABOUT YOU...
  • A minimum of 3 years relevant experience as a heavy diesel mechanic or similar.
  • Formal trade qualification.
  • Excellent decision-making skills.
  • Good knowledge of general motor/diesel mechanics, mechanical fitting, hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as on own initiative and with low level supervision.
  • Experience working on flammable liquids or gases tank wagons would be considered advantageous.
  • HGV Truck and Trailer driver’s license (Class 5) and DG endorsement would be considered advantageous however this is NOT a driving role.
