About This RoleEarly Childhood Cook - Only About Children NorthcoteAre you passionate about preparing nutritious meals and creating joyful food experiences for young children? Only About Children Northcote are looking for a dedicated and talented Cook to join our team on a full-time basis!
As our Campus Cook, you'll play a vital role in supporting the overall health, wellbeing, and food curiosity of the children in our care by preparing delicious, balanced meals that meet individual dietary requirements. We provide care for up to 93 children per day, offering 5 meals from breakfast to late snack.We encourage our Cook to become a key part of our team and build positive relationships with our families and children.
About Your New Role- Prepare meals in line with the OAC Nutrition Guide/Menus
- Cater for all allergies, anaphylaxis, and dietary preferences
- Maintain a safe, hygenic, and organised kitchen environment
- Build positive relationship with children, families, and team
- Manage kitchen inventory and food orders within budget
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a collaborative culture
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or similar)
- Food Safety Supervisor Certification
- Working with Children Check (employee)
- Understanding of catering for children aged 0-5
- Vast experience with allergy management
- A genuine passion for Early Childhood and healthy eating
- Ability to work full-time
