Cook (Asian Cuisine) – Full-time, Permanent

We are seeking an experienced Cook to join our busy food court kitchen in Manukau.
This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment, suitable for someone who is organised, reliable, and able to maintain consistent food quality under pressure.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook a range of Asian-style dishes, including stir-fries, curries, and noodle soups, in a high-volume food court environment
- Follow established recipes, cooking methods, and kitchen procedures
- Ensure consistency and quality in food preparation and presentation
- Assist with menu refinement and seasonal menu updates as required
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering supplies
- Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment in compliance with food safety standards
- Support and assist in training junior kitchen staff when required
- Adhere to all health and safety procedures and regulations
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a commercial kitchen environment
- Proven experience preparing stir-fries, curries, and noodle-based dishes
- Strong wok cooking skills and experience working in high-volume service
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and as part of a team
- Good understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene standards
- Reliable, well-organised, and able to follow established kitchen systems
- 30 to 45 hours per week, depending on business needs
- $30 – $33 per hour, depending on skills and experience
